Parasitoid wasps

Parasitoid wasps lay heir eggs in or on other insects. They eventually kill their host, hence they are parasitoid wasps, a specific type of parasitism. Many of these species are important for biological control of pest insects, and can be purchased from specialized companies. There are many different species that parasitize either the eggs, larvae pupae or adult hosts.
